"Family is everything. And our children won't be this little forever."
Sounds cliche, but it's so true and it's why I think family photos are so important. Capturing your family laughing together, snuggling, and interacting organically is so special to me and telling your unique story.
I know the process can seem daunting and like so much work, but you'll never meet a mom who says she regrets having their photos taken. I want you to always remember their smile with that missing tooth, how their little fingers wrapped around yours, or how it felt with them snuggled in your lap.
My goal is to make the process fun and effortless, all you have to do is show up and be yourselves!

The Process
Once we get your session booked, we will start planning your session. Are you picturing your session taken in a field or is an urban setting more your style? Do you need helping coordinating outfits? I have an extensive client closet for all of your needs! Do you have photos saved on Pinterest you want to pull inspiration from? These are all things we can work together on during the planning process. In addition, I send my clients a session guide that goes over all kinds of tips to make your session as fun as possible!

Session day! Allow yourself plenty of time to get ready, but if the kids are joining, don't get them dressed until the very last second! We'll meet at our selected location and start getting to know each other. Your kids will be my main focus, because if your kiddos feel comfortable, you'll likely relax & feel the same! Your job is just to have fun and interact with your family! Don't worry about posing yourself or where to look, I'll handle all of that.
the day of
Your session is over and it's time to head home. What's next? In about 24-48 hours, I'll post sneak previews on social media (with your permission, of course!). Approximately 3-5 days later, I'll e-mail you a gallery of lightly edited images to choose your favorites from.
Once you select your favorites, I'll get to work creating the behind the scenes magic! In about another 7 days, your final gallery will be sent to you and you'll be able to download your images and decide on any prints/products you'd like to add on as well.
I always recommend ordering physical prints, albums, and canvases. There's nothing that can replace the warm, loving feeling of holding treasured memories in your hands.

Kate was an absolute delight to work with. I have three little girls with BIG spirits and personalities and man did she capture them all. It's never too early to schedule your Central PA family session. The best way to make sure you get family photos taken is to schedule them! If you put them on the calendar early in the year, you can be sure that you've got the time blocked off in your busy schedules to be sure they happen!

In addition, I have a vast client closet for my clients to borrow clothing from! Skip spending money on new clothes just for photos, borrow mine!
Simply put, yes! I have a whole guide full of my favorite spots to capture families! As your go to Mechanicsburg & Harrisburg area photograher, I know lots of incredible spots! In addition, I'm always welcome to suggestions of places that hold a special place in your family's heart.
A client closet is a curated set of dresses, shirts, and other pieces of clothing that photograph beautifully. They are purchased by me for use exclusively by my clients...free of charge!
