Your baby turning one is a huge milestone. Not just for them, but you as a parent too! That first year can be rough! Cake smashes are a fun way to capture your baby at one. You can choose a theme or we can do a simple, timeless look. Due to allergy concerns, I do not supply the cake or treats, but I can recommend some talented amazing bakers that will hook you up!
We will always start out by taking photos of baby nice & clean both in my lifestyle area and on the set and then once we have some great photos, we will get to smashing. Don't worry if your little one isn't super into their cake, I have lots of tricks up my sleeve to get them playing!

Cake Smash
Milestone sessions are special sessions during key times of your baby's first year to commemorate all the crazy amazing things they learn to do as they grow! Often call "tummy time" sessions or "sitter sessions" these milestone opportunities can be done at any time during their first year. Usually they're around 3, 6, and 9 months of age but of course, every baby is different!
I absolutely adore these opportunities to watch your baby's personality change over time. Seeing their eyes light up to a special song or game you love to play. I feel like it's like watching one of my own babies grow!
Milestone sessions are offered as single sessions or can be booked as a Watch Me Grow membership which includes 3 month, 6 month, 9 month, and 1 year old (cake smash) sessions.

Kate was an absolute delight to work with. I have three little girls with BIG spirits and personalities and man did she capture them all. To some, it may feel overwhelming and chaotic, but she somehow made us feel like our family dynamic was a strength! 🤣 She played my girl’s favorite music to dance and lighten up, we sang songs, she noticed when times had to somewhat come to a halt with their ability to take photos and made those moments times of fun. The sooner the better is what I say when it comes to cake smashes. If you wait too long, I may not have time to find the perfect outfits, props, and backdrops to make your cake smash dreams come true!
If you haven't noticed, your baby is growing...quickly! They change so much each and every day and I truly believe in capturing each special season...especially in their first year! From tummy time...to sitting up unassisted...to learning to stand & walk! These are all incredible moments I believe should be documented!
You will receive your proofing (lightly edited) photos within 3-5 days of your session. Following your choosing of your photos, you will receive you final gallery within another week.
I have TONS of baby clothes! Between special items purchased for my own kids to pieces I've purchased over the years for sessions, I have so much great stuff to choose from! In addition, lots of my clients bring special clothes with their baby's name or even heirloom pieces worn by other family members!
