As a professional York In Home Newborn photographer, it’s always heartwarming to hear about the experiences of my clients. Recently, I had the pleasure of working with a lovely family, and their feedback was so insightful that I felt compelled to share it as a blog post. I’ve been capturing The Savage family’s photos since they moved to the area with their infant son and I’ve been lucky enough to follow their family’s journey to include the addition of their baby girl earlier this year!
If you’re searching for York newborn photography, here’s a glimpse into what you can expect from a session with me.
Before the York In Home Newborn Shoot
Why did you choose me as your photographer?
Rachel and her family had recently moved to Pennsylvania and found me through recommendations on Facebook. They were particularly impressed with the quality of my photos and were excited about my “Grow With Me” package, which perfectly suited their needs.
This is where I met their son Foster and got to know the family. We had so much fun capturing Foster throughout his first year, which culminated in a first birthday sesson in my studio. .
During the Shoot
How did you feel during our photo session?
“We’ve always had such a good time during our photo sessions with you. Even my husband doesn’t dread them like he used to with other photographers. They fly by so fast and you make them seem so easy!”
It’s always my goal to make sessions fun and stress free! I will do my best to engage your kiddos and often find if we make the session about them, they’re more inclined to participate and have fun with the process. They also feed off of our energy as grown ups and follow our lead for a good time!
What did you enjoy most about your York PA in home newborn shoot?
“You don’t over coach (poses, etc.) but give just enough that the photos turn out well, but it mainly feels like we’re just hanging out while you get the shots.”
This is so important to me and I am so glad it shows through to my clients! I will always guide you and your family through the session. Setting you up in a “pose” but the most important stuff happens when I step back and just ask you to chat with each other, tickle one another, or have the kiddos tell you a secret. These are the moments that are going to stand out more so than a stiff, smiling pose that’s forced!
After the Shoot
How was your experience when reviewing the photos?
Rachel found the process easy and the gallery effortless to navigate, though choosing from so many great photos was a delightful challenge.
Did any images particularly capture the essence of what you wanted?
One standout image was from their newborn session, capturing their big boy lovingly embracing his new sister, a moment they cherish deeply.
Overall In Home Newborn Experience
How would you describe your overall experience working with me?
Rachel rated their experience a 10/10 and would highly recommend my services.
How did I meet or exceed your expectations?
By providing a fun, relaxed experience and delivering high-quality photos that truly captured their family’s essence.
How do you plan to use or display the photos?
Rachel plans to display the photos on a gallery wall in their entryway, use them for Christmas cards, social media, and gifts for family members. They also create small photo books from each session.
Knowing how you’re going to use your photos from your session is so helpful for me. It helps me create a variety of poses and angles. If I know you’re looking for an album, I’ll take lots of detail shots, candids, and shoot from a variety of distances. If I know you’re on the hunt for that perfect above the mantle canvas, I’ll make extra sure we get the perfect “money shot” to show off in your home.
Personal Touch
What emotions or memories do the photos evoke when you look at them?
The photos evoke a mix of tears, love, joy, and all the emotions. They are precious memories capturing Rachel’s babies growing up.
How do you feel the photos reflect your family or children?
The photos reflect Rachel’s family very well, looking natural and capturing their true essence without feeling forced or over-posed.
Rachel receives numerous compliments, especially on the photos of their kids, as she feels I capture their little faces perfectly. (And I must say they are pretty darn cute little faces!)
Hearing such positive feedback is incredibly rewarding. If you’re looking for York newborn photography that captures genuine moments in a relaxed and fun atmosphere, I’d love to work with you and your family. Let’s create beautiful memories together!
