The above galleries can give you a quick overview of how I capture newborn sessions in home and in studio. And below, the newborn galleries featuring newborns in Central PA will give you a clear idea of what a complete session will look like, my style of photography, editing, consistency, and how relaxed you and your baby will feel during your newborn session.
In-home newborn sessions are all about capturing your family's story where it begins. I bring everything needed for beautiful, timeless newborn portraits right to your home, while also documenting the genuine moments that make this season uniquely yours. There's no need to pack a diaper bag or rush out the door—just relax in the comfort of your own home while I create images you'll treasure for a lifetime. Every session is baby-led, stress-free, and designed to preserve not only your newest little love, but the home where your family's next chapter began.

Elliana's story is an especially meaningful one. After being born prematurely and spending her first few months in the NICU, I finally got to meet her just two days before her original due date. She was the sweetest little nugget, and her two brothers and big sister were absolutely smitten with her. This was the second time I've had the honor of photographing this wonderful family, and their children are always such a joy. Watching them welcome their newest little girl after such a long journey made this session one I'll never forget.
Captured in their Hershey, PA home, Olivia's in-home newborn session was relaxed, peaceful, and such a joy to photograph. As their first baby, every moment felt extra special, and sweet Olivia was calm and content throughout the entire session.
Mama borrowed a dress from my client closet, making the whole experience simple and stress-free, and their two adorable doodles joined in for a few photos too. They were so well behaved, making this truly a beautiful session from beginning to end.
Graham's in-home newborn session included mom, dad, big brother, and even his grandmother, who I convinced to borrow one of my client closet dresses and join in for a few photos.
We also incorporated a treasured family cradle, making the session uniquely theirs. Your newborn photos should always reflect your family, your story, and the details that matter most to you.
Evelyn's baby-only studio newborn session was the perfect reminder that every baby is different. Although she was a little older than the typical newborn stage, she slept beautifully and allowed us to create a gallery filled with timeless, posed newborn portraits.
When planning your session, I take my lead from your color preferences, but I handle all of the prop and styling decisions from there. My goal is for you to simply show up, sit back, and relax while I create a cohesive, beautiful gallery that feels uniquely yours.
Florence joined me in the studio with her mom, dad, and big sister for a beautiful family newborn session. You never quite know how an older sibling will feel about photos, which is why I always let them set the pace. With years of experience, plenty of patience, and a quick shutter, I'm able to capture those genuine moments that become some of a family's most treasured images.
My studio is also stocked with toys, books, and snacks to keep siblings happy when they're not in front of the camera, making the experience as relaxed and stress-free as possible for everyone.
Henry came to the studio for a wrapped newborn session with a family add-on, and his sweet family was an absolute joy to photograph. His big sister was so proud of her new baby brother, making for some truly special moments I'll never get tired of capturing.
Every studio newborn session includes the use of all wraps, props, and accessories, plus access to my client closet for mom. My goal is to make the entire experience as simple and stress-free as possible so you can focus on soaking in these first precious days with your newest little love.
Sweet Drew joined me in the studio with her mom and dad for a beautiful newborn session. She was calm, sleepy, and content, allowing us to capture a wonderful variety of timeless newborn portraits.
Every newborn session is completely baby-led. I'll never force your baby into a pose, and we always pause whenever they need a feeding, diaper change, or a little extra comfort. Before your session, I send a detailed prep guide to help you get ready, and when those simple tips are followed, babies are often cozy, sleepy, and ready for a relaxed session at their own pace.
Emmett's in-home newborn session took place in Camp Hill, PA, and with beautiful weather on our side, we were even able to step outside for a few photos on the front porch. I love using the spaces that are meaningful to your family to create a gallery that's uniquely yours.
As a special surprise, Emmett's grandparents stopped by during the session, so we invited them to join in for a few photos. Those images are always so meaningful and become treasured keepsakes for generations.
There's nothing quite like welcoming a family back for another newborn session. I had the honor of photographing big sister as a newborn, and it meant so much that mom and dad trusted me again to capture these first memories with their baby boy. Watching families grow and being invited back to document each new chapter is truly one of the greatest parts of what I do.

Whether your baby sleeps through the entire session or needs to stop for cuddles and feedings every 20 minutes, we'll follow their lead. I'll guide you through every step so nothing feels rushed, stiff, or overwhelming.

When we decided to adopt, I knew Kate would be our family photographer. She took the photos for our profile book for potential expectant mothers, and once we were matched and our son was born, she did his newborn photos. I can't believe she just did his 1 year photos. She's so good with kids and spends time learning about your family and your story.
- Samantha S.
Shooting an infant and twin toddlers is no easy task, but she handled our family with confidence, ease and fun. Our girls loved her, and one of our twins might just follow in her footsteps one day! Being new to the area I was concerned about finding someone, but I'm so grateful we found Kate. She'll be shooting our family for everything in the future.
- Karyssa D.
"Kate makes the entire experience seamless and stress-free from start to finish. She has a natural way of putting you at ease, making the shoot feel fun and relaxed rather than posed or forced. Her work truly speaks for itself. You won't be disappointed."
- Sallyann B.
When I found out I was pregnant with baby #2, I researched newborn photographers around here. There were several great options, but I kept coming back to Kate's photos. At our studio session I literally got to just sit and relax while Kate took the most beautiful photos of my children I've ever seen. My son is 3 and Kate managed him better than I ever have, and got photos of his real smile rather than his new fake smile. By the time we left, he was following her around pretending to take photos too.
- Alexandra B.
We waited a long time to complete our family, and Kate was able to capture the love and happiness we all felt at finally being a family of four. We're just in love with every single shot she took. She truly takes care of everything and helps you feel comfortable every step of the way."
- Olivia B.
When I scheduled my maternity shoot I knew I also wanted newborn photos. I was nervous about how my newborn would do at the session, but Kate was calm and comforting to both me and my son, and delivered amazing photos!
- Gabrielle S.
The best time for your Harrisburg Newborn Photoshoot is when your newborn baby is between 7 to 21 days old. This is when they are sleepiest and usually easiest to settle. After this time, newborn babies can become harder to settle and this is when things like baby acne and colic can set in.
Your newborn session can take place in my Etters, PA studio or in your Central PA home depending on the type of session you choose. Posed newborns take place in the studio only. Lifestyle newborns can be held in your home or in my studio.
I recommend reaching out when you are in your second trimester to book your newborn session. I will add your due date on my calendar and once baby arrives, we will schedule you!
Newborn sessions are baby led and therefore no two sessions are exactly the same. But on average you should expect to be at the studio for around 2 hours or have me in your home for around 90 minutes.
