Newborn sessions with me are designed to be as stress-free as possible for new parents. You don’t need to worry about what to wear, how your baby will cooperate, or whether you’ll be exhausted—I take care of everything so you can simply show up and soak it all in.

As your Harrisburg PA newborn photographer, I specialize in capturing your baby’s earliest days in a way that feels natural, organic, and timeless. Photographing newborns is my passion and I truly believe that shines through my photography and the time spent with your family & your precious new baby.
What's left from the short time we have while our babies are so tiny is our memories. And since your own memory might be a little hazy from the lack of sleep and flurry of activity - newborn photography is crucial to holding on and savoring these moments long after the newborn phase is over.
Your baby is my number one priority through this entire process - their safety and comfort is paramount. I have trained under incredibly professionals to ensure I follow safety protocols to keep your baby comfortable & protected throughout the entire photography process.
I hate to keep my clients waiting, so they can expect to see their proofing gallery within 48 hours of their session and have their final edited digital gallery within 5 days of choosing their collection images.
As a mother myself, I can attest to the importance of these moments and how fleeting they are. The newborn phase is truly a blur and while you're in the thick of it, it feels like it may never end, but trust me it does - more quickly than you could ever imagine!
Gentle, Baby-Led Posing – Your baby’s comfort is my priority. Although I will pose them a variety of adorable poses that highlight their tiny perfect selves, I will never force them into a pose that they're uncomfortable with.
Parent & Sibling Moments – These sessions are about more than just your baby; they’re about the love that surrounds them. I’ll capture tender parent-baby moments and big sibling snuggles, if you’d like.

When you inquire about a session here is what will happen...
Congratulations on your pregnancy! If you've had a chance to look around and love what you see, reach out to me and let's get the conversation started.
You can choose to book a single newborn session, or join my Motherhood Collective and have everything documented from bump to baby to birthday. Most of my clients choose to join the membership for the savings and ease in knowing that they won't miss a single moment of their baby's fleeting first year.

Once you are booked, you'll receive a questionnaire to help me get to know you and together we will create the vision for your session. I will use your answers to design a beautiful, cohesive set of props, wraps, and outfits for your baby.
You'll also receive my Client Prep Guide that includes wardrobe guidance, tips for getting baby ready for their session, and more!
planning your session

Depending on the session type you choose, you'll arrive at my cozy studio in Etters, PA or I'll arrive at your home. Newborn sessions start around 10:00am.
I've got everything you & your baby will need set & ready to go, including a comfy couch for you & hubby to relax (or perhaps nap?) on. I mainly photograph babies from 7-21 days old while they are still sleepy & curled up. Baby will lead the way and we will follow their cues while I work with them both individually and then together with you for family photos.
I hate to keep you waiting, so shortly after your session I'll share a sneak peek with you. Within a week of your session, a gallery will be sent to you ready to be viewed from the comfort of your home. You'll choose your collection at this time. Every collection includes a set amount of digital files.
After choosing your collection images, I will put the finishing touches on your images and you will receive the final high resolution images via your online gallery.

You will receive your proofing gallery within 48 hours of your session and your final edited images within 5 days of completing your proofing selections.
Kate was recommended to us by a friend when we moved to the area. She did maternity family photos and newborn photos for us. We were absolutely thrilled with the experience from start to finish. She was wonderful with my energetic 2 and 4 year old boys and knew how to engage them. We have had multiple different photographers over the years in the various places we have lived, and this experience outshines them all. I typically feel pretty awkward in front of a camera, but Kate made me feel very comfortable and beautiful. She also offers client styling (if you are like me and can never decide on the right outfit for photos). This was huge for me and I took advantage both times. The best time for your Harrisburg Newborn Photoshoot is when your newborn baby is between 7 to 21 days old. This is when they are sleepiest and usually easiest to settle. After this time, newborn babies can become harder to settle and this is when things like baby acne and colic can set in.
Your newborn session can take place in my Etters, PA studio or in your Central PA home depending on the type of session you choose. Posed newborns take place in the studio only. Lifestyle newborns can be held in your home or in my studio.
I recommend reaching out when you are in your second trimester to book your newborn session. I will add your due date on my calendar and once baby arrives, we will schedule you!
Newborn sessions are baby led and therefore no two sessions are exactly the same. But on average you should expect to be at the studio for around 2 hours or have me in your home for around 90 minutes.

Prior to your session we will have a consult call where we will discuss wardrobe, color preferences, and plan out your entire session. I will help guide you to choose outfits that complement your style and photograph beautifully. My clients gain exclusive access to my client closet!
Newborns are unpredictable. Don't worry! With years of experience between my own children and client's babies, I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve to keep your baby safe, comfortable, and sleepy. I'll send you a guide beforehand to help you prep baby as best as you can and if we need to take breaks to feed or snuggle, we will.
