There are few places quite as beautiful for maternity photos as Hershey Gardens, and Hannah and Hollywood’s summer session was such a perfect example of why I love photographing here.
We had one of those beautifully overcast summer days that photographers secretly love. Soft light, no squinting, and the freedom to explore the gardens without constantly worrying about harsh sunlight. Getting there was a little more exciting than usual thanks to Guns N’ Roses being in town and Hershey traffic being absolutely WILD, but once we made it inside the gardens, it was completely worth it.
Hannah and Hollywood are expecting a baby boy, Hendrix, and these two were so much fun together. Hollywood had Hannah laughing throughout their session, but what stood out to me just as much was how sweet and nurturing he was with her. There were plenty of goofy moments mixed in with the quiet ones, which is exactly what I want a maternity session to feel like. You don’t have to spend an hour staring seriously at each other while holding a baby bump. 😂
Hershey Gardens Maternity Photos With So Much Variety
One of my favorite things about Hershey Gardens maternity photos is just how many different looks we can create without ever leaving the property.
We wandered through the rose garden, where Hannah’s white dress looked gorgeous surrounded by all that color. We used the trees and lush greenery for softer, more intimate portraits, then headed toward the Children’s Garden where the white pergolas gave us a completely different, bright and classic backdrop.
And then there are all the little pockets in between—the brick pathways, annual flowers, architectural details, and quiet shaded areas that make it feel like we visited several locations instead of just one.
I especially loved Hannah’s choice to wear white. Against all of the greenery and colorful summer flowers, she absolutely popped in every part of the gardens. And keeping her outfit simple meant the focus stayed exactly where it should be: on her, that beautiful baby bump, and the connection between her and Hollywood.
Maternity Photos That Feel Like You
Maternity photos don’t have to feel overly posed or formal. I want couples to move, laugh, snuggle, walk around, and actually enjoy this little pause before life changes in a very big way.
Hannah and Hollywood made that part easy. Whether they were laughing at each other, cuddled together under the trees, or Hollywood was spinning Hannah around, their personalities came through in their photos.
Baby Hendrix is already so very loved, and I’m so glad we got to document this chapter before he makes his arrival.

Every season brings something a little different, which makes it one of my favorite Hershey locations for maternity sessions.
